Been awhile since i have blooged...back by request and i didnt say popular request I will attempt to update my few fans..Just one thought before I begin,keep hearing about these news org.cking up on bloggers and sorta like feeling the pulse of the country..Oh wouldnt that be a dream for taters blog to be quoted on Fox News..You know it could happen..
Well the daughter is home for christmas break..needless to say Sharon Jean and myself find ourselves in a totally new world..But there is an end in sight,,as she says she will graduate a year from may..Thank our most heavenly father..Course we shall see..Tomorrow Salem and I will go to Odessa for some buisness i have to do and get to spend as they say quality time together..Ha Ha. no really it will be fun..shes a cool kid..and another blessing this christmas is first christmas without a boyfriend..thats the part i enjoy the most..u know how those ole boys are they just kinda hang around and the depth of there conversations are whats for dinner? Which brings up another neat thing that happened to us recently..Salem works for a guy in Abilene which i do buisness with and his son is in the Marines..
About 10 days ago the father calls me and tells me his son is traveling from San Diego to Abilene and anyway i wont cover all the details jeez..the marine (James)ends up spending the nite with us..Sharon Jean cooked a great dinner for him and we all had dinner together when he arrived.. This guy had just completed the Navy Seal training for Marines..hes a 2nd LT..started out with 65 guy s and ended up with like 24 standing and he was one of the 24 standing..Hey i was so impressed..(as i have always been a Seal wannabe as Sharon Jean say s ) James was very accomodating for my thirst of the gritty details of his adventures..im sure he was rolling his eyes and thinking how can a 48 yr old man be this ahhhh u get the picture.. Honestly thought this guy was so humble it was a breath of fresh air..restored my faith in our youth..and when he left the next morning i was thinking.. pssst Salem dont u wanna say something to him? like would u marry me?..nah im just kidding but it was a great visit with a great young man..he will be heading to Iraq next fall u guys keep him in ur prayers..
Looks like we will be traveling to Glen Rose hopefully around end of month to spend some time with Lar/Mart..we really miss them terribly.. Sharon Jean cant wait to take the motor home to see them..shes got it all fixed up and looking great.j ust hope we dont break down in the thing.. Gave a tour in it the other day to look at the Xmas lites in Pecos..kinda of a tradition with us..as we always go to the east side(barrio)and look at the different ways some people decora te for christmas..It reall y is a blast..I have seen everything i think..i mean cow skulls with xmas lites has been one of the best yet..But i am worried about this a bit..it seems t he originality that used to be is slowly disappearing ..and i think its WalMarts fault ..
u know u can get all these lites now that already have the thinking done for u and poof there goes the originality...But i still noticed one satelite dish the other nite that was quite a site..out here they use old satelite dishes for patio covers..so if u have one save it ...could be the next trend.. While i was doing the tour of the lites i kept thinking i need a intercom on this thing to narrate as we go along..im thinking that Lar could give me some great material for this...

Oh yeah i have another wedding to sing at in February.. this will be my 3rd gig(thats show biz talk)honestly the brides father called me and requested i get an act together..only thing is hes not telling his daughter about it..and im going into unknown territory..these people might not have the sense of humor that i demand for my performance..I am really hoping that Lar and Mart will make this trip with us as they always give me the confidence i need to perform.. So Moe someday its a possibility that u can look back and say he sang at my wedding..although i doubt it..but u know i have a great time doing it..Just between u guys and me i have dreams of the spot lite coming on and hearing lets give a big hand for TATER SALAD ..Ha Ha..
Well time for me to go to bed..Andra hope all finds u well with baby and all and tell Zach i sail Hey..i am sad that i cant get another burger from the barn in Hico..i loved that place...Guys have a great Christmas..and hope everyone has a great new year as well...Adios...Tater Salad

Well ill start again..this thing is really trying me tonite..as well as Sharon Jean my most lovely and beautiful wife..shes standing behind me and watching this writing at present..but as soon as she leaves ill get into the good stuff..
Please excuse my space bar as it is having much difficulty at present..We are both so happy for LarandMart with the move and all..i know it has been very difficult for them and i feel really bad that we did not get to help with that endeavor..and i understand lars back has been suffering because of it..but i gave him a little advice about that.. Hear me on this one guys..to get a laugh out of Lar just ask him about L4 and L5 with the chiropractor..Ha Ha..
Well Sharon Jean and myself are the proud owners of a used motor home..1990 model.but man it was cheap and in good shape until today when i found out i gotta put a new H2O pump on it for $700 bucks..jeez..have u ever tried to work on one of these things..u have to be a midget..i manged to change the air filter in a mere 1 hr. We are having fun with it..havent gone anywhere but are haveing fun with it..doesnt make a lot of sense..but thats how exciting life is i n Pecos..we will be traveling to Glen Rose soon in the new ride..Have some other friends as well moving to GR upon his retirement from SWA and hes trying to sell me a lot..but as of yet..we are working on our place south of Abilene...
Just rcvd word last nite.that i will be performing at another wedding Feb.5 by request from the brides father..MOE see what u started..im just an animal when it comes to the stage..HA HA.. This will be my 3rd gig..thats a showbiz term.. u know im starting to realize what hard work it really is for these big artists..and now that i have my own tour bus..man im set..am looking for a really good sound guy if anybody is interested...Im kidding u guys but it uplifts.me..u know... Mart..u must make plans to attend this wedding as u know how well i do. when u kinda help me get started..Still have Midnite Train to Georgia on my mind ...this might be the date for us to unveil that tune..or maybe.ANDRA ..THATS RIGHT..hey andra u remember at moes wedding the tune..???? u sang it real well...We will talk later about that..and everbody shhhhhhhhh its a secret....

Computer Desks Arrrrrrrrgh

Sharon Jean and myself find ourselves in a virtual wetland for the desert very wet at the dairy. She just ran in while i was watching my beloved Nascar and told me Andra had posted on my blog and to my amazement put my blog as the home page in Hico Tx..or Rustys house..jeez..this could get really good ..i dont even live there and feel like i know half the population there..I will say howdy to Rusty and family..im ready for another wedding whenever u guys are..Ha Ha

Back to the story...Sharon Jean got me in the computer room now where all over the floor lays the computer desk from hell...seems that Sharon Jean and Mart went to Midland last week on a wine run (as Andrews is dry)where i presume they got slobbering drunk and said to themselves ...lets give Tater a little hell...Well that they did..i unloaded the thing last wk.and almost broke my back unloading the thing..and then i unboxed it when upon seeing the enormity of this thing began to verbally abuse Sharon Jean..u would not believe this hunk of junk.. 10,000 pieces and a bag of bolts and screws,anchors,etc..that they only give u one of each so no mistakes are allowed..Good Gravy..I asked Sharon Jean if she ever thought to look at just what might be involved in putting this thing together..but then whats the use when her and Mart open that wine bottle just forget it. Thanks Mart.. Of course i know if i took this thing to Hico it would be no problem for my compadres down there..they would probably make a houseboat out of it for the fishing tournament..u know put it to good use..

Sharon Jean is watching me type every word here so as not to tick anybody off..but i always can wait till she leaves the room...I just asked her if she wanted to say something..and she turned her nose up and ran to get a glass of wine..
Salem called yesterday and told me they were having an air show in Abilene yesterday..and i didnt know..wouldve been fun to take daughter to that.. She has made some good tips working @AbileneCC this week ,she loves it a lot..asked her about the algebra class and she says..its ok...that means not good..so u guys pray for her please...
Starting to get a little more comfortable with this and the possibilities are just endless..but i am seeing now the more involvement the better.. Psst Rusty please dont locate the computer at the Dairy Barn for all to see unless we can make big money with it...I gotta run...GEORGE W. and SHARON JEAN say hi..See u soon..Adios

Thanks for the Welcome

Yesterday was a wild day after getting back from my trip to Dallas. Arose @ 7:00 A.M. to the greeting of a cell phone,my dairy friend from Hico was interested in coming to Pecos to look at some cattle that were for sell and wanted to know what I knew about them. Told him to give me an hour and I would call him back. Picked up Simon and made a call and found out the cattle werent the best but you never know where opportunity knocks. Called Keith back and told him what I knew and he said he was on his way.
Keith calls on the road about 45 min. later and tells me that if I was a really good friend I would fly to Abilene and pick him up. HMMMMM any excuse to fly..told him let me call Flite Service Weather and would get back to him. Made the call to FSS
and found out that weather was not good east of Big Springs as I am only rated for VFR flying and I do not take chances ever. Called Keith back and told him I would pick him up @BPG could save him 3 hrs. anyway. Departed @11:00AM ran into really bad clouds east of Monahans and turned around and came back..called Keith told him no way..and he said he would see me @2:30PM.
Keith arrives show him around the place and we proceed to see the cattle.make long
story short..they sucked..The day was enjoyable as we went and looked around at some other farms he was interested in..
This part i cant wait for Andra to read.. Keith is from Hico and eats frequently at Rustys (Andras F-IN-LAW) dang that doesnt sound cool..but u know what i mean. All of
you guys know how Andra and Zach have been trying to get rid of these beagle puppies right? Well Keith walks into Rustys for lunch and notices a sign on the door Beagles For Sale $150 and 150 is scratched out and only asking $100 now..So my bud Keith orders his food and sitting there and hears what he thinks is puppies whining.. he gets up walks back to the kitchen and there are Andra and Zachs Beagles..seriously u have got to love a place like that..
My lovely wife Sharon Jean fixed dinner for Keith and I and we had a most interesting conversation after dinner about religion still dont know how that got started really.. Keith left @ 10:00 PM to drive back to Hico he would not stay said he had a meeting Fri morning he couldnt miss ..he did make it home 4:30AM.
Lunch Friday Sharon Jean and I go to the local greasy spoon and are sitting there and a older fella that we both know sits down with us..and low and behold the conversation turns to religion again..Whats this about ? Mart im sure u have already sensed this..we will be talking soon... and by the way Mart i meant to tell u i was reading ur blog and noticed u talking about the murder in Pecos ...so strange..only 3 days prior Sharon Jean and myself had been discussing the same thing..I truly think we are all very well connected..
Well fellow bloggers i am off to bed really wanna thank u again Moe and the warm reception has been really great. My space bar is really screwing up so please ignore the mess..I am trying to get Sharon Jean to write a little as well..but she is so shy..HaHa..but i know once she gets started there will be no end..and thanks Misty for your welcome as well. My first day @ Blogging

Howdy Bloggers...I have just been told by my lovely wife that it is incorrect to say hi..because this is a journal and not a yack site..oh well..

I just arrived home from Dallas on a 2 day meeting..stayed at the Gaylord Hotel..jeez i am in trouble..for not taking Sharon on this one..pretty awesome place..just a tad pricey for my tastes..u know.. Arrived back in midland about 2:30 P.M. and had some errands to run in Midland for the buisness..stopped by and took Ma-in-Law to dinner and had a really nice visit.. but get this...u know Laura Bushes mother lives at the same retirement center as she does..and we were talking about her dinner the previous nite and that she was visiting with Jenna Welch..(Prezs ma-in-law) and then the subject turned to politics a little bit..as i was driving down Andrews Hiway she said
Kerry is a tool of Satan" Ha Ha i about wrecked..i mean im no fan of Kerrys but a tool of Satan? She then proceeded to tell me if he was elected that the country could never recover.. and also that there prayer group leader was doing a little lets say De" U know John Democratic bashing...I asked her are there any Democrats in this prayer group? She replied well u know theres several that get real quiet and dont say anything..I just about lost it there..what a hoot.
After taking her back to the place and dropping her off.. I finally arrived home..unloading the surb. and proceeding to take my shower..Just about the time i stepped out of the shower ..my lovely wife Sharon Jean hollered..Mo set u up a blog site..I said no way..Me? A blog site? I really didnt know that would allow such non techy people to do this...MOE many thanks to you for doing this..i am actually kinda looking forward to this..and im sure we will get many laughs from this..You know honestly i was a little bit nervous after crashing in on Moes and Andras blog that i might have really ticked em off..I am relieved that they took no offense because none was intended and we think the world of those 2 girls..
Another bit of information i forgot to add...Larry and Martha u know are moving to Glenn Rose real soon...Several months ago I visited with the Manager of TAD Texas Association of Dairymen about possibly an employment opportunity for Larry with this organization. Larry has called this gentleman but really has not been able to get serious about it being involved with the move and all. Well last nite I visited with the President of this org. and told him all about Lar and his qualifications as this org. is deeply involved with some enviromental issues at present. The Pres. asked me to have Lar call him when he got down there and they could set a meeting up and see if something might develop. Who knows maybe it could lead to something else but it would really be exciting to be able to work with Lar if he got the position.. You guys keep your fingers crossed.
Well thats gonna be it for tonite ..kinda road weary at present..Moe thanks for your effort on this i really appreciate this..Hopefully i can get Sharon Jean to make some comments as well. Oh yeah George W (our bassett hound) gives his regards. Sharon Jean is looking over my shoulder AGAIN and telling me honey this is not a letter its a journal.. OK OK give me a little time to understand the format just a little.. Ok get this she just chewed me out again..HA HA..i stared to say adios farewell and all that..and she says ur not talking to people honey its just a journal..So Tater is sitting here scratching his head and thinking its kinda rude not to say BYE.. OK she left BYE YALL
